India U19 team led by Priyam Garg and Bangladesh U19 led by Akbar Ali had gained the place in finals after giving tough fights to their opponents in the semi-finals of the ICC U19 World Cup 2020. Both the teams have remained unbeaten in the tournament. It will be a box office thriller because the players from both the side are in great form.
In the semifinals against Pakistan, India bundled out Pakistan at 172 runs. Kartik Tyagi and Ravi Bishnoi picked two wickets each while Sushant Mishra scalped three wickets. Chasing down the target, Yashasvi Jaiswal went on to score a fine century and his opening partner Divyansh Saxena scored a gritty half-century.
On the other hand, Bangladesh faced New Zealand in the semi-finals. Opting to bowl, Shoriful Islam, Shamim Hossain, Hasan Murad picked 3, 2 and 2 wickets respectively, halting the Balck caps at 211 runs.
In reply, Bangladesh lost the wickets of their opener in the power play.
However, Mahmudul Hasan’s hundred, both Towhid Hridoy and Shahadat Hossain scored forty to see their team home.
Thus, it can be said that both the teams are good form. And the captains from the respective sides will hope to deliver the best in the finals.
Indian colts’ captain Garg will be hoping to take back the trophy to home for the consecutive time.
While Bangladesh skipper Ali would want to register the victory for the first time in the U19 World Cup. Though this is not the first time they will be facing each other in the final of a coveted tournament.
Both the teams also fought for the U-19 Asia Cup 2019 title where India won the tournament.
