England captain Eoin Morgan got out in a horrible fashion against Afghanistan on Wednesday afternoon.
England were playing against Afghanistan in the Group 1 encounter of Super 10 stage in WT20 2016 at Delhi. It was a crucial for both the teams as it was a must-win game for both the teams. After winning the toss, England skipper Eoin Morgan decided to bat first.
After getting a good start, England started losing wickets in quick succession. The incident happened during the 6th over of England’s innings when Eoin Morgan was facing his first ball of the match.
It was the 5.4 overs when Eoin Morgan was facing Afghanistan off-spinner Mohammad Nabi. On the previous ball (5.3 overs), Nabi took the wicket of English opener James Vince and after that Morgan joined Root at the crease.
In the 5.4 overs, Nabi bowled a fuller length delivery to Eoin Morgan. It was a straighter one which Morgan left after observing ball till the end. The ball hit the stumps and Morgan went back to the pavilion for a golden duck.
With this wicket, Nabi was on a hat-trick which he failed to claim.
