Vijay Hazare Trophy 2016/17: Manish Pandey To lead Karnataka, Fit-Again Robin Uthappa Makes A Comeback

Manish Pandey has been appointed as the skipper of Karnataka for the upcoming edition of Vijay Hazare Trophy as Vinay Kumar, the team’s regular captain is suffering from an injury and will not be able to take part in the tournament.
Captaincy to Pandey came as a surprise as Robin Uthappa has also made a comeback to the squad and he could have been the second choice for this post but the selectors handed over the job to Pandey, who was the part of the Indian Test team for the final two Test matches against England last year.
Srinath Aravind, also the vice-captain of the team, will lead the fast bowling duties along with the comeback man Ronit More, who switched to Himachal Pradesh last year.
K Gowtham, the latest IPL crorepati, will look to continue his good form in List A format as well. Stuart Binny will also turn up for Karnataka and along with him will be another all-rounder Shreyas Gopal, who is making a comeback to the senior cricket after the all-rounder was asked to play junior cricket for the state.
