Watch: Jonty Rhodes Picks Up His Top Five Fielders
The former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes has recently picked up his top five fielders in international cricket history. Among them, one each from India, England and Australia and the remaining other two cricketers are also from South Africa. Apart from the Indian cricketer, all others have taken retirement from international cricket.
Jonty Rhodes is known as one of the best fielders ever in international cricket history. During his international career, Jonty Rhodes showed some great unforgettable skills in fielding. His brilliant run-out effort to dismiss Pakistan cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq in 1992 World Cup is still memorable to everyone. That dismissal always remains on top of the list in the greatest run-out dismissals in international cricket history.
Jonty Rhodes had an incredible international career. Making his international debut in 1992, the South African cricketer played 52 Tests and 245 ODIs. Apart from being a remarkable fielder, he was also a useful batsman as he scored 8,467 runs in the international career (2,532 Test runs and 5,935 ODI runs). His final Test match was in August 2000 while his final ODI was in 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup.

5. Andrew Symonds (Australia)
The former Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds is in no.5 of this list. Jonty Rhodes claimed that Andrew Symonds was the great fielder both at inside and outside the 30-yard circle. The Proteas legend believes that the Australian all-rounder had a strong arm.
4. Herschelle Gibbs (South Africa)
Jonty Rhodes’ former international teammate Herschelle Gibbs is in the next position in this list. Mentioning that name, Jonty Rhodes claimed that he was an incredible fielder.
3. Paul Collingwood (England)
At next, Jonty Rhodes named the former English cricketer Paul Collingwood but didn’t wish to give any number in the order sequence. The former Proteas said that he was a fantastic fielder during his international career.
2. AB de Villiers (South Africa)
The former South African captain AB de Villiers is in the second position in this list. Jonty Rhodes played the fielding coaching role during his international career, and AB de Villiers impressed him hugely.

Jonty Rhodes chose the Indian cricketer Suresh Raina as the best fielder in international cricket history. The former Proteas captain claims that he is a big fan of Suresh Raina forever. He pointed out that the Indian fielder didn’t hesitate to put his effort on the field.
