The IPL 2019 is less than one week away to begin. Recently, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Dinesh Karthik unveiled their new jersey for the season.

The 12th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2019) will begin on 23rd March. The defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will play the opening match at MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chennai).

Meanwhile, KKR will begin their new season’s journey from the second game of IPL 2019 that will be played on 24th March. In that home game (at Eden Gardens, Kolkata), they will meet against the last year’s runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Just one week before that game, KKR captain Dinesh Karthik unveiled their new jersey on last Saturday night (16th March).

On their official social media accounts, KKR captain opened a handbag and brought out the newly designed jersey for the IPL 2019 season. The purple and gold colours are finely decorated in the new jersey.

The KKR captain has liked the jersey. In that social media video, he requested everyone to buy the original official jersey and be aware of the fake one. He is hoping that every KKR fan will cheer them on the ground by wearing the latest jersey.

KKR has won two IPL trophies

KKR is one of the reputed and successful sides in IPL history. They have won two IPL trophies (2012 and 2014), both under the former captain Gautam Gambhir. In the last some years, the side performed consistently well.

KKR reached the playoffs in all of last three IPL tournaments. However, they failed to reach the finals in all the previous three seasons. Surely, the entire KKR side is desperate to end this heartbreaking streak and win the title for the third time.

Every team is waiting for the full IPL 2019 schedule

Meanwhile, like the other teams, KKR hasn’t got their entire fixture of the IPL 2019 yet. The IPL committee has earlier announced only the first 17 matches of the new IPL season. They were waiting for the announcement of general elections’ dates.

As the general elections’ dates have been announced recently, the IPL committee will soon release the entire schedule of IPL 2019. According to some media reports, the full IPL 2019 schedule will be officially announced on this Monday (18th March).
