India opener Murali Vijay failed on his comeback, scoring just 11 before falling to Mitchell Starc in the first innings of the ongoing first Test against Australia.
India’s opening woes once again came back to haunt them as Australia started the proceedings in Adelaide on a good note. Josh Hazlewood gave the hosts the perfect start by making light work of KL Rahul. Rahul could score only 2 before edging one behind to Aaron Finch in the slips. And any hopes of seeing Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara was ended soon after Starc accounted for the former.

Vijay had entered the game on the back of a cracking century in the tour game. Initially not a part of the game, Vijay was drafted in the playing eleven after Prithvi Shaw suffered an injury.
