India’s veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin likes to try variations in his bowling. Ashwin is known to try different things and we have seen him coming up with different innovations in his bowling. The talisman off-spinner emulated former Sri Lankan spinner Sanath Jayasuriya bowling action in the practice session.

Sanath Jayasuriya was not only an explosive batsman for the Island nation but also did a fine job with the ball. Jayasuriya had scalped 323 wickets in the 445 One Day Internationals. Furthermore, he had also taken 98 wickets in the Test fold. Thus, he was a handy off-spinner for Sri Lanka.

India is gearing up for their maiden pink-ball Test match against Bangladesh and Ashwin was seen enjoying himself in the practice session. The Day-Night Test will be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata from November 22.

Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin had roared back into form in the series against South Africa. The linchpin off-spinner has also continued his good form going against Bangladesh. Ashwin scalped five wickets in the first Test at Indore.

The Tamil Nadu spinner scalped two wickets in the first innings whereas he took three wickets in the second dig of the first Test. Hence, Ashwin would look to continue his good form going.

On the other hand, India obliterated Bangladesh by an innings and 135 runs in the first Test. Mayank Agarwal was the star of the show as the right-hander scored his second double century in the Test format. Agarwal scored a fine knock of 243 runs with the help of 28 fours and eight sixes. Ergo, he was awarded the Man of the match.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami was the pick of the Indian bowlers. He snared three wickets in the first essay and backed it up with four wickets in the second dig. Consequently, Shami has now occupied the seventh place in the ICC Test rankings.
