In-Form Yashasvi Jaiswal Smashes 185 in The Ongoing U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy

ICC U19 World Cup star performer Yashasvi Jaiswal continued showing his heroic performance in the U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy. The young Mumbai player scored a staggering 185 runs in the ongoing tournament.

At Wankhede, he played the first game after the U19 World Cup. He showcased a masterpiece in the U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy as he started the tournament with a ton. The 18-year-old missed a double century as he was dismissed for 185 (243 balls). He amassed 19 boundaries and a maximum.

Yashasvi “Player of the tournament”

For his outstanding performance in the mega event, Yashasvi was awarded as the Player of the Tournament. In the six innings played, the opening batsman Yashasvi remained not out on three occasions. He also scored an unbeaten century against Pakistan in the semi-final and led his team to final. Also, he mustered four half-centuries in the tournament.

All in all, he scored 400 runs, becoming the highest run-scorer in the event.

The 18-year-old’s score in the U19 World Cup read: 88, 105*, 62, 57*, 29*, 59.

While talking to media, he has always thanked the staff and coaches behind the scenes to help him reach new heights.

Before featuring in the mega event, he grabbed the eyeballs of selectors with his appearance in domestic games.

The IPL franchise Mumbai Indians (MI), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had a bidding war in the auction 2020. Finally, the Royals bagged the services of Yashasvi Jaiswal for INR 2.4 crore.

For the upcoming 13th edition, the player will be don the pink jersey and will be seen in action with big stars like Steve Smith, Joss Buttler.

The popular T20 league will further open the doors for the youngster in the future.
