Yuzvendra Chahal Creates History After Completing 50 T20I Wickets
During the T20I series decider against Bangladesh on Sunday (10th November) night, Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal completed his 50 T20I wickets. While he reached this milestone, Chahal became the fastest Indian to reach the 50 T20I wickets.
The 29-year-old leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was playing his 34th T20I on that night. Before this match, Chahal, who bowled very well in this T20I series, was just one wicket away to complete his 50 T20I wickets.
After India was sent to bat first, the hosts India scored 174/5 in 20 overs. In reply, the Indian bowlers were struggling at one point where the visitors Bangladesh were in the strong position to win the game. But the Indian pacers Deepak Chahar (6/7) and Shivam Dube (3/30) changed the situation totally and bundled out the visitors for just 144 runs (19.2 overs).
While Yuzvendra Chahal bowled very well in this series, he was very expensive in this game. But, at the crucial time, Chahal took the important wicket of the Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah (8). Chahal bowled the visiting captain and ended their last hope. Finally, the leg-spinner had bowling figures of 4-0-43-1.

Chahal completed his 50 T20I wickets after dismissing Mahmudullah. With that wicket, Chahal entered in some top record books and these records are:
i) Yuzvendra Chahal became the fastest Indian bowler to claim 50 T20I wickets. The leg-spinner achieved this feat in 34 T20Is. Jasprit Bumrah, the right-arm pacer, was the previous record-holder in this list as he completed 50 T20I wickets in 41 T20Is.
ii) Yuzvendra Chahal is the third Indian bowler to claim 50 T20I wickets. The first two Indian bowlers in this list are Ravichandran Ashwin (52 wickets) and Jasprit Bumrah (51 wickets).
iii) Yuzvendra Chahal became the fifth-fastest bowler to complete 50 T20I wickets.
