The new season’s first North London Derby is here as Arsenal take on Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium. The derby headlines Premier League’s return to action post the international break. Both the sides will be hunting for a win as the game will also be a decider for who claims the top-spot in the table.

The Gunners currently occupy the first position after a stellar start in August which saw them win five of their five games. A little turbulence was experienced by Mikel Arteta’s young Gunners after they went down crashing to Manchester United at Old Trafford. However, they made an impressive comeback by putting on a dominant display against Brentford in a 3-0 win before the international break.

But Arsenal were cursed by the break, as many of their crucial players succumbed to injuries. Thomas Partey, Kieran Tierney pulled-off mid-way through their respective nation’s schedule, while Oleksandr Zinchenko and Cedric Soares didn’t join up Ukraine and Portugal squads respectively owning to injuries. All four of them are however tipped to make it in time for the derby, but could start on the bench.

Tottenham on the other hand sit third in the table, a point behind their North London rivals. Antonio Conte’s men would certainly want to collect all three points from the upcoming derby to go top of the table. There are no serious injuries in the Spurs team, with only Hugo Lloris doubtful. All of Tottenham’s attacker, Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison have hit top form and have enough fire in their belly to chase a win.
