Cristiano Ronaldo Speaks About His Football Retirement

The 34-year-old Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has recently talked about his retirement from professional football.

Present Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest footballers in the current generation. In his 17 years football career, Ronaldo has achieved many successes.

Though he is currently 34-year-old, many believe that Ronaldo can easily play the top-level football till the age of at least 40 years. He is still one of the fittest and hardest workers on the football pitch.

Recently, in an interview, Ronaldo has claimed that he hasn’t thought about his retirement. He can retire from football next year or continue it until 40 to 41 years. He is just enjoying the moment.

Ronaldo told TVI, “I don’t think about that. Maybe I can finish my career next year… but I can also play up to 40 or 41.

“I don’t know. What I always say is to enjoy the moment. The gift is excellent and I have to continue to enjoy it.”

Cristiano Ronaldo also feels that there are no footballers who have achieved more records than him.

Ronaldo added, “Are there any football players who have more records than me? I don’t think there are any footballers who have more records than me.”

In international career, Ronaldo has experienced two major trophy successes – UEFA European Championship 2016 and UEFA Nations League 2018/19. He is the most-capped player and most goal scorer for Portugal.

Meanwhile, his club successes are also huge. He has experienced five UEFA Champions League successes along with numerous other trophies. Among these five UCL trophies, he won one for the English Premier League side Manchester United and four for the Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid. Recently, he has wished to win another UCL trophy for his present Italian Serie A club Juventus.

Ronaldo has already won five Ballon d’Ors along with many other individual honours.
