Free Agent FC!! Premier League’s free agent XI who are yet to find a club

The summer transfer window has already been shut down, now it’s a long wait for January to open the winter transfer window and here is a starting 11 consisting of few stars from Premier League currently without a club still hoping to make a return to the English football’s top flight.

Marco Amelia

Despite signing for Chelsea early this year to backup for Begovic following Courtois’ long-term injury, the former Milan goalie didn’t make a single premier league appearance while at the Stamford Bridge. He is currently out of contract after the club chose not to renew his contract.

Joey O’Brien

Bilic’s arrival further limited the playing time of the veteran right back, but he is still yet to hang up the boot despite coming of age and can still serve as a quality squad player for any EPL side that comes calling. His years of experience will definitely count.

Adrian Mariappa

After turning out for Watford and Crystal Palace over the course of many seasons, Mariappa no doubt knows a lot about defending in the EPL, and he can be a good option off the bench just for free.Free agent XI

Wes Brown

The former Manchester United defensive ace recently turned out for Sunderland before becoming clubless. Despite aged 36, the ex-England international hasn’t hung up his boots yet and could bring his expertise to the table for any side that decides to sign him. However, his injury woes could be a problem.

Jose Enrique

The Spaniard left back was deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield at the end of the season and is now in search of a new club. At 30, the former Newcastle fullback still has some years of quality football left in him and will be a great addition to any budding squad.

Mathieu Flamini

The former Arsenal defensive midfielder didn’t get a contract renewal at the end of last season, and the 32-year-old still hasn’t decided to call time on his playing career yet. Just maybe one more season of EPL football will do.

Tomas Rosicky

Little Mozart has had a career laden with injuries since he arrived England, but that hasn’t stopped him from planning to continue his playing career after parting ways with the Gunners. He was an integral part of the Czech republic team at the Euros before bowing out due to another injury.

Stephane Sessegnon

The slick and highly skilful forward just saw out his contract at West Brom but can still hold his own against some of the EPL players. Chances are that a top flight comes calling before the end of the transfer window due to his enormous talents.

Emmanuel Adebayor

The one-time African best player of the year recently played for Crystal Palace after leaving Tottenham. Having also lined up for Arsenal and Manchester City during a decade of EPL football, the ex-Togo international sure has the EPL strikers playing guide in his library and can put it to good use once again if handed the chance.

Victor Anichebe

The England-born ex-Nigeria international once looked like the real deal some seasons ago, but after flattering to deceive with both Everton and West Brom, it could be the end of his EPL career.

Dimitar Berbatov

The former Tottenham and Manchester United talisman has 94 EPL strikes to his credit and could still make a return to hit the 100-goal mark. At 35 years, there is next to little the Bulgarian can offer after scoring just 17 goals in the past 3 seasons, but who knows.
