Leicester City may have been enjoying the five points lead at the league summit but that didn’t stop some of their star players getting barred from entering a London nightclub.
The incident happened when 4 Foxes stars were turned away from an elite London nightclub, and were even left to stand aside to allow some Tottenham players enter the club.
The names of the players who were humiliated was also revealed – Danny Drinkwater, Andy King, Matty James and Ben Hamer were not allowed into Mayfair club Drama on Saturday night as they planned to celebrate Drinkwater’s 26th birthday.
The controversial incident occurred only hours after Leicester City had beaten Watford 1-0 to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to a stunning five points with just nine matches left to play.
But their extraordinary rise to fame and top position at the table didn’t help them gain access to one of London’s top nightclubs.
As the four of them were trying to convince the security personals to allow the celebrations to continue, they even had to step aside to allow Tottenham stars Hugo Lloris, Nacer Chadli and Eric Dier inside.
After some time, the four Leicester players eventually admitted defeat and left in a cab for another venue, according to The Mirror.

Despite this humiliation, the Foxes have no intention to step aside in the Premier League table to allow Tottenham through, and their outstanding season is one party which does not look like stopping. While Leicester continuing their winning run, with a berth in next season’s Champions League almost certain, most of the others are floundering and the title rivals are beginning to run out of games to reel Leicester in.
It will be a tit for tat if Leicester player celebrates their most likely League win in that particular London nightclub.
