Man United Predicted Lineup To Face Spurs: Jose Mourinho Set To Make Huge Changes 1

After winning against Zorya Luhansk in midweek, Manchester United will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League to keep their bleak hopes of the title and top-four finish alive. The Red Devils have  only won two of their past 11 league matches and they are now nine points adrift of Manchester City in fourth place and 13 points shy of leaders, Chelsea. However, winning against the in-form Tottenham Hotspur would not be easy for Jose Mourinho’s men. The visitors have scored eight goals in their last two matches and United will have to be at their best to get a good result.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho is set to make quite a number of changes to the starting eleven that won 2-0 against Zorya. Michael Carrick, Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian were left out of the squad for the Europa League clash midweek, but are likely to return to the squad.

So here is the predicted eleven that can start against the Spurs:

David de Gea:

The first-choice goalkeeper is set to return in the goal after being rested for the Europa League clash.

Phil Jones:

The England international was also rested for the Europa League clash but is expected to return against the Spurs. With Chris Smalling still recovering from an injury, the onus will be on Jones to keep the Spurs’s attackers at bay.

Eric Bailly:

Bailly returned to action against Zorya Luhansk and gave an inspired display. Very much likely to return to the starting eleven on Sunday.

Antonio Valencia:

The Ecuador international is also in line to return to the starting eleven after being rested for the Ukraine trip.

Matteo Darmian:

With Luke Shaw still recovering from an injury, the Italian is set to get more playing time.

Michael Carrick:

Another star who is set to return to the starting eleven. The veteran midfielder has given the United’s midfield a much-needed balance and Mourinho is likely to play him again.

Ander Herrera:

An ever-present presence in the midfield for United this term, the Spain international has been very instrumental in turning defence into attack with his reading and aggression in central midfield.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan:

What a performance he gave against Zorya Luhansk. Is likely to start ahead of Juan Mata.

Paul Pogba:

Still searching his feet in the Premier League but had some bright moments against Zorya.

Anthony Martial:

Martial was also rested for the Zorya clash but is likely to return to the playing eleven against the Spurs. The France international has been in fine form in recent games and will look to continue that form.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic:

The former Sweden international has returned to scoring ways and is likely to lead the attack again.
