The first choice striker for club and country at the moment, Harry Kane, is one of the most prolific goal scorers in the domestic circuit in England and has been the biggest reason for the Spurs’ surge up the table in the last couple of seasons.

He is a top class player who knows his way to the back of the net and already has 12 goals in 17 games for his side. He has scored at an incredible rate with 59 goals in 100 league games for the club and is easily one of the hottest prospects in the Premier League.

His quality has seen the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich also linked with a move and Pochettino was quick to act upon it, offering Kane a new contract recently.

The English striker signed a new contract at the Lane in November last year that will keep him at the club till 2022 but that has not stopped clubs in England plot a move for him.

Manchester United are currently busy in the Europa League but the manager will know that qualifying for the Champions League is a realistic target this season. If they manage to do so, Mourinho will have to spend insane amounts to make them ready  for the elite competition and the manager has identified Harry Kane as the perfect target for the summer.

According to the reports, Mourinho wants Kane to work alongside Zlatan for one season, helping them in the Champions League before he can be the first choice after Zlatan retires.

The Swede does not have too many years of football left in him and Manchester United are desperate for an attacker who can replace him for the long term.

Antoine Griezmann is an option for the club but Manchester United are now hoping to land Harry Kane with the bumped deal at the end of the season.
