“He’s a young player with outstanding ability and I’m sure the Manchester City fans will be very excited about seeing him in action for the team.”
The 20-year old will fly out to Australia in the next 24 hours to join his new team mates in the pre-season tour of Australia. City will pay a sum of £44 million up front for the youngster which included £5 million as add-ons which primarily depends on the player’s appearences and club’s success.
Two million is based on appearences in which City will pay £500,000 for every batch of 30 Premier League and Champions League games he plays, up to 120.
Three million is based on trophies in which City will pay £1.5m for a Champions League success and £1m for every Premier League triumph – to a maximum of £3m.
