Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are currently out of the top-4 in the points table but they have a game in hand and have a chance to push into the top-4 come the end of the matchday on Monday.
The manager will not be too pleased with the way his team have been doing since the turn of the year but he will know that they are not too far away from a place in the Champions League next season.
Guardiola will be hoping that his side can get through the season unscathed and will surely plan a huge overhaul in the summer to make the squad capable of competing with the best.
This overhaul will surely include buying some star players in the summer and this might see Manchester City and Pep Guardiola put in some record bids for their transfer targets.
One player who might be a subject of one such bid is Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli.

The 20-year old English international is among the best players in his position in England at the moment and is one of the most exciting youngsters in world football.
He has cemented a place in the starting XI for Tottenham Hotspur for sometime now and is an integral part of the squad at the White Hart Lane.
Alli was named the Premier League player of the month for the month of January recently and is in the best of form his short career at the moment.
And according to reports from the Express, Manchester City have joined a host of European clubs in the scrap for his signature.
Spanish giants Real Madrid are interested in bringing Dele Alli to the Bernabeu in the future while League 1 Champions PSG are also keen on his signature.
And though Pochettino is adamant that the 20-year old is not up for sale, it is now understood that Manchester City are ready to make a world record bid for the Englishman in the summer.

Guardiola wants more English talent in his squad next season and is ready to break the £89m that Manchester United paid for Paul Pogba to land Dele Alli in the summer.
At just 20, Alli has a huge future ahead of him but Pochettino and Tottenham Hotspur might be tempted to let him go if he is able to fetch the club a world record fee.
Dele Alli is in top form for club and country at the moment and it will be interesting to see if he decides to play for Pep from the next season.
