The second week of the Premier League 2018/19 saw Chelsea and Tottenham keep their winning run going, however, Arsenal have lost their London derby to make two defeats in a row.
Two in two wins for Chelsea and Tottenham while the Gunners lose two in two.
Chelsea vs Arsenal
A goal-fest night at the Stamford Bridge ended in Chelsea’s favour, as Marcos Alonso’s 81st-minute goal sealed a 3-2 win for hosts over Arsenal.
Sarri’s men started the match aggressively and didn’t have to wait long for scoring their first goal. Pedro brought the lead for the home side and just after ten minutes, an out of form Alvaro Morata finally found the net.
However, Arsenal made a sensational comeback even before the second half to make it 2-2. However, Alonso’s goal in the 81st minute sealed the win for the home side.

Tottenham vs Fulham
Tottenham sealed a comfortable 3-1 victory over Fulham with Harry Kane finally breaking his August’s goalless streak in the Premier League. The other two goals came from Lucas Moura and Kieran Trippier.
Moura opened the account for Spurs. However, Aleksandar Mitrovic cancelled Moura’s opener to make it 1-1. Many still remember the sublime set-piece of Trippier in England’s World Cup semi-final defeat to Croatia. And he repeated the feat with 16 minutes remaining to get Spurs back in front. Just after a couple of minutes, Kane scored a goal to ensure his side a back to back win.
Cardiff City vs Newcastle United
A nightmare performance from both sides ended in a goalless draw at Cardiff City stadium. Particularly for Kenedy, who missed a penalty in the stoppage time.
Kenedy also failed to complete a pass during a first half when he should have been sent off for kicking out at Victor Camarasa. However, Newcastle got reduced to ten men in the end after Isaac Hayden’s 66th-minute foul on Josh Murphy was adjudged worthy of a red card.
But the home side couldn’t take any advantage of it and both the teams had to settle with a point in the Premier League.
Leicester City vs Wolves
An unlucky night for Wolves ended with a 2-0 defeat over Leicester City. An own goal and a deflected strike consigned them to the 2-0 defeat although Jamie Vardy was sent off and Leicester got reduced to 10-man.
However, Wolves played better in most of the moments of the game. They hit the post twice through Joao Moutinho and Raul Jimenez.
But Matt Doherty headed into his net. And Maddison’s strike from the edge of the box found a way beyond Rui Patricio with a touch from Conor Coady to make it 2-0.

Everton vs Southampton
Everton’s Richarlison kept showing his worth to the Everton supporters by scoring in a 2-1 victory over Southampton at Goodison Park.
Theo Walcott opened the scoring for Everton in the 15th minute of the game. Walcott has scored and assisted in a Premier League game for the first time since January 2013.
Then the £50million man Richarlison doubled the lead. Danny Ings pulled one back for Southampton in the second half. But Everton ran away with all three points in the end in the Premier League.
West Ham vs Bournemouth
Bournemouth came from behind to win 2-1 against a struggling West Ham. After getting thrashed by 4-0 against Liverpool, Pellegrini’s side meekly crumbled to a second successive defeat by giving up two soft goals.
West Ham scored the first goal in the 33rd minute when Arnautovic made no mistake after being awarded a penalty. But they witnessed a shocker in the second half when Bournemouth pulled back two goals in under six minutes to put the home side down.
