Premier League Clubs On High Alert As Man United Outcast To Reject Offers From Europe 1

Out of the many clubs that have spent millions on top transfer targets, Manchester United seem to be the only team still struggling with their first team setup and also the bench.

Jose Mourinho was expected to let go of a number of players in the summer transfer window but lack of replacements saw the manager keep a number of underperforming players at the club heading into the season.

There are a more than a couple of players who Mourinho does not really rate at Old Trafford and there is a chance for a mass exodus at the club in January.

The likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo have been linked with an exit in January and might leave the club but one player who is now definitely leaving the club is Dutch international Memphis Depay.

Having rejected a move to Anfield for Manchester United, Depay, was an instant hero at Old Trafford having made a terrific start to his career under Louis van Gaal. However, he failed to keep up his form in crunch games last season and has now completely fallen out of favour at the club under the new manager.

He is yet to start a game for the side in the league and is nothing more than a fringe player and at his age, the Dutch international is now reportedly ready to search for regular football elsewhere.

In what looks like the best place for him, French outfit Marseille are reportedly interested in his signature in January and it is looking likely that Mourinho will let him leave if his valuation is met in January.

However, the same report suggests that the 22-year, who had played just 126 minutes in all competitions this season, is ready to reject an offer from the League 1 outfit in the winter transfer window.

It is understood that Depay is happy with his time in the Premier League and believes that he can become a better player. He wants to stay in the Premier League even if he leaves Old Trafford which means that the Red Devils might now have to sell him to Premier League rivals in January.

His high wages might scare potential suitors away and Mourinho will now plan to give him just enough game time so that he can prove himself and earn a place in a top class side.

It is still early in the career for the winger who has more than a decade to prove himself so a move away from club at such an early stage can only be profitable.

Do you think Memphis Depay will be a good addition to your team in January?
