Tottenham Hotspur has been one of the stand-out clubs all over Europe this season.
They have been playing a sizzling brand of football and the manager has accumulated a squad whose average age is below 25.
He has now taken the team close to a Premier League title and will lead the squad into the Champions League next season and will hope to continue the good work this season into the next one.
However, he will have to make sure that the young guns in his team are not priced away from the White Hart Lane this summer.
Starting with Harry Kane and Dele Alli, the Spurs will have to stop the likes of Eric Dier also from moving away from the club.
The 22-year old has taken an important role in Spurs’ midfield and has been excellent both in defense and in the final third for Pochettino this season.
He also impressed in his outing against Germany with the England national squad and will be hoping to get better at the London franchise and cement a place in the EURO16 in France later this year.
But it will not be easy to stay in London if top clubs in Europe come calling.
According to the Evening Standard, Dier’s performance in the domestic season has been recognized by German giants Bayern Munich and it is understood that they are plotting a move for the midfielder this summer.
The 22-year old England international has been in sublime form for club and country and signed a new contract extension with the club this season.
But the Bundesliga franchise are scouting him as a long term option and want to him to replace Xabi Alonso in the current squad.
Alonso, 35, will enter the last year of his contract at the end of this season and will not be extending it any further in Germany.
Carlo Ancelotti who is set to replace Guardiola at Bayern is hoping to make sure that Dier makes the move to Germany in time to take over the mid-field from Alonso.
Do you think Dier has what it takes to control the mid-field of a club like Bayern?
