While the new Premier League season may just have began, a supercomputer has already predicted the standings for the 20 teams. The machine has done so using the betting market analysis, predicting the top four as well as relegation. The 2022/23 season has witnessed an exciting start, with some of the very unexpected results.

Last season’s runners-up Liverpool are yet to win their first game after Manchester United grabbed their first triumph against the Reds at Old Trafford. Jurgen Klopp’s men have now drawn two and lost one, where United are with two defeats and a win. Elsewhere, Arsenal are the only side with a perfect record as they sit atop of the table, followed by defending champions Manchester City as their fierce rivals Tottenham not far behind in fourth.

Chelsea, Man United have no place in the top four as per the supercomputer

Both Chelsea and Manchester United are undergoing a squad rebuilding after over half-a-dozen of their players left this summer. The Blues have lost Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Timo Werner, Emerson while sending Romelu Lukaku and Malang Sarr on loan. On the other hand, United released Paul Pogba, Juan Maa, Nemanja Matic, Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard and sent Dean Henderson and Alex Telles on loans.

However, both the clubs have failed to land adequate replacements of the players that have left and are hence unable to cope up without them. While Chelsea are languishing 12th currently with 4 points, United were uplifted to 14th after their shocking win over Liverpool. The Reds’ team marred with injuries is yet to pick their first win of the season and occupy the 16th spot.

Elsewhere, North Londoners Arsenal and Tottenham are off to flying starts with the Gunners on top of the table with three wins from three, and Spurs in fourth with two wins and a draw. Arsenal have so far reaped all positive results of tow of their summer signings Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, while Tottenham too are looking refreshed in their first full season under Antonio Conte.

As a result, the supercomputer has predicted a top four of Manchester City as the champions [3/8], Liverpool in second [9/1 to win the title] despite their poor start, Arsenal third [12/1 to win the title] after their scintillating kick-off and Tottenham fourth [5/8 to top-four finish], a place they snatched from the Gunners last season. Meanwhile, relegation is on the cards for Everton, who merely avoided it last season, and newly promoted Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest.

Chelsea and Man United miss the Champions League berths as they are predicted to finish fifth and sixth respectively by the supercomputer. City are tipped to complete a three-peat of Premier League championships by the machine, since they have massively beefed up this summer by landing the likes of Erling Halaand, Kalvin Phillips and Julian Alvarez.
