Football fans can expect a long summer of tussle between Manchester United and Real Madrid over the transfer of David De Gea. In the recent turn of events, it appears that Real Madrid are willing to start De Gea’s bidding for as low as £13million.
Despite being destined to join Real Madrid in the summer, De Gea’s representatives are seeking an assurance for being the number one goal keeper in Bernabeu.
Some quarters of De Gea camp are still worried about the influence Casillas has in Real’s squad and it could haunt De Gea’s development at the club.
Having said that, De Gea is still keen on a move after turning down the massive £200,000-a-week offer by his current club Manchester United.
It is almost like Real Madrid are trying to insult Manchester United by placing a bid of £5million less than what United paid for an unknown lanky boy from Atletico Madrid back in 2010.
Now De Gea has transformed in to one of the best goal keepers in the world and certainly command a fee anything between £25-30million.
However, Madrid are testing United’s resort by going that low as they know De Gea is not keen on signing the new contract and they can sign him for free in the summer.
There you go, I have handed you the blueprint for what would definitely be the longest running transfer saga of the season. It is yet to be seen, who bows down to the other’s demands but one thing is for sure, Manchester United and Real Madrid would go to extreme lengths to get a hold of David De Gea.
