Yuzvendra Chahal said that it is always a special feeling for him to come to play in Bengaluru ahead of the IPL 2023 match at the M Chinnaswamy stadium between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 23, 2023.

RR are the table toppers with 4 wins in 6 matches and an NRR of 1.043, while RCB is placed 6th on the IPL 2023 points table with 3 wins and 3 losses in 6 games.

Ahead of the game, Yuzvendra Chahal talked to the commentators about playing Bengaluru, where he represented the RCB side for quite some time before being released and joining the RR team.

He said: “Always have a special feeling when I return here, I feel at home. Slightly different today, different color jersey and the players I used to bowl to at the nets will be the ones I’ll be bowling to in the game.

(On his success) I back my skills, I know this is a small ground with a good wicket, but a good ball is a good ball to any batsman at any venue. (On spin partnerships) We discuss things pre-game, analyze things and keep talking on the ground as well on how the wicket is playing and what kind of balls to bowl to which batter. That helps and gives you some clarity.”

Chahal played for RCB from 2014-2021, playing in 113 games and picking over 100 wickets for the franchise.
