Spanish giants Atletico Madrid began their new UCL campaign with a goalless draw against the Italian hosts AS Roma.

Atletico created many chances as they produced ten shots on target but failed to beat the hosts’ goalkeeper Alisson.

Hosts Chelsea hammered the UCL debutant FK Qarabag by 6-0. UCL debutant FK Qarabag became the first Azerbaijan club to play UCL group stage.

Pedro began the scoreline with an early lead on just 5 minutes which were followed by Davide Zappacosta (30’), Cesar Azpilicueta (55’) and Tiemoue Bakayoko (71’) before Michy Batshuayi netted twice on 76 minutes and 82 minutes respectively.
