2017 FIFA Confederations Cup will start in a few days. The 10th FIFA Confederations Cup will be played in Russia from 17th June to 2nd July 2017. It is a great quadrennial international tournament where 6 recent continental champions meet along with the latest FIFA World Cup winner and the hosts of upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Tournament History
The inaugural tournament had been held in Saudi Arabia in 1992. The first two editions of the tournament were known as King Fahd Cup (Confederations Winners Cup or Intercontinental Championship), which had been organised by Saudi Arabia in 1992 and 1995. Since the next edition in 1997, the tournament is known as FIFA Confederations Cup as FIFA has taken over the organisation responsibility of the competition.
From 1995 to 2005, this tournament had been held every two years. But since 2005, the tournament has been held now every four years.
