i) The Journey: Mexico has qualified for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup, after becoming the champion of 2017 CONCACAF U-17 Championship. In the final match of that tournament, Mexico had beaten the United States in a penalty shoot-out [the United States 1 (4) – Mexico 1 (5)].
ii) Head Coach: Mario Arteaga (Nationality – Mexico) was appointed in the head coach role for this team since 2014. Under his coaching, Mexico had finished in the fourth place during 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup and also become the champion in 2017 CONCACAF U-17 Championship.
