Sami Zayn
The Underdog from the Underground has never been able to compete in a Saudi Arabia show due to his Syrian roots. Syria and Saudi Arabia have a bitter relation and WWE does not want controversies with religious issues. Hence, Sami Zayn won’t visit Saudi, once again. Previously, WWE stated the following regarding the matter saying, “WWE is committed to embracing individuals from all backgrounds while respecting local customs and cultural differences around the world.”
Daniel Bryan
A few weeks ago, Daniel Bryan was part of the main event picture on SmackDown as he was feuding with “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship. But WWE removed him from the scene with two back to back losses against the champion. His decision not to visiting Saudi Arabia could be a reason behind this. Before Crown Jewel 2018, Daniel Bryan decided not to visit the country due to political problems. His stance remains the same, to date as he will be missing Super Showdown 2020.
Big News On Goldberg Winning Universal Title At WWE Super Showdown
Kevin Owens
The Prizefighter of the WWE has been involved in a rivalry as part of a feud against Seth Rollins, AOP, and Murphy over the past few months. This could have created a big match at Super Showdown. But Kevin Owens won’t be in Saudi Arabia because his family reportedly doesn’t want him to go there. The Kingdom also doesn’t allow his best friend Sami Zayn to work there, which could be an added reason that Owens wants to skip this PPV.
Aleister Black
The Dutch Destroyer is another name who can’t visit Saudi Arabia for a religious point of view. He is a Satanist, a view that is not well-appreciated by the local fans. His body is fully covered with demonic tattoos which can’t be hidden with his trunks while wrestling. So it’s safe-playing from WWE to get rid of Black at Super Showdown to avoid controversies.
