AJ Styles was suddenly traded to SmackDown from RAW following WWE Money In The Bank that appeared to be a surprise move from WWE creative team. WWE has never informed about a draft or superstar shakeup for the year 2020 and such a move wasn’t expected, at all.

The previous speculation was that Roman Reigns wasn’t present on SmackDown and WWE needed a proper replacement in his absence.

Later, there were some rumors going around that he was not happy with the former Raw Executive Director, Paul Heyman for not retaining his buddies, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson when WWE decided to trim down the roster in wake of coronavirus pandemic.

Several wrestlers were released and the two ‘good brothers’ of AJ Styles had to depart the company and thereby disband The OC faction on Raw.

There were also some rumors that the RAW locker room was apparently bullying AJ Styles due to his beliefs. He observed the theories and gave some clarifications about those. Below is what The Phenomenal One said about the rumor on his Mixer stream,

“There were some rumors going around that AJ Styles left RAW to go to SmackDown because he was being bullied.

That may be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. I’m a grown man. If there was some bullying going on that upset me enough to leave RAW and go to SmackDown, I would handle it…”

As for the rift with Paul Heyman, AJ Styles did accept the fact that he isn’t with good terms with the advocate for the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar. He claimed Heyman being a ‘bold-faced liar’ in the below comments.

“When it came to the rumor about Paul Heyman and me being upset with him because he didn’t take up for Gallows and Anderson before they got released, that’s not what it was at all. Not even close.

I’ll give you a snippet of what me, Gallows and Anderson already know. He’s a liar, now you know. I’m sure you’ve heard that before if you go back to his ECW days, you’ll hear that.

He’s a bold-faced liar. That’s my take on that.”

The good thing is that AJ Styles is ultimately back on the brand he helped, built back in 2016. SmackDown is where he had a WWE Title reign for more than a year. Getting inserted into the scene, he earned the Intercontinental Championship, right away to become the ‘face that runs the place’. It’s a matter of time only that he moves into the main event picture in the near future.
