Bayley Eager To Rekindle Feud With Sasha Banks On WWE Smackdown

Bayley successfully defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship this past weekend during WrestleMania 36 night II. She remained victorious in the Fatal 5 Way Elimination Match that also featured Lacey Evans, Naomi, Tamina and Sasha Banks. Thus, the longest reign with the SmackDown Women’s Title continues for her that started back in October.

After what transpired at WrestleMania 36, it’s evident that feud between Bayley and Sasha Banks will be happening soon and the champion, in fact, likes the idea very much.

These two are the two cornerstones of the women’s division who never got involved in a full-fledged feud on the main roster. Rather than featuring in one-off matches, they deserve to be in a rivalry that should produce a blow-off match.

The current WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley has openly admitted that she “loves” the idea of reigniting the feud with the long-time friend Sasha Banks. Speaking with Sporting News, Bayley opened up on this topic as well as her heel turn and what it would mean to go up against The Legit Boss of the WWE.

Regarding the restart of the feud, Bayley stated that it is something she “always dreamed about, especially after Takeover five years ago.” According to her, as soon as they landed on the same roster, she was eager to wrestle her again. Bayley added how Sasha Banks is the favorite person she loves to share the ring with,

“Luckily, throughout my time on “Raw” and “SmackDown,” I’ve been able to share every WrestleMania with her and almost every pay-per-view. We’ve been tag team champions. I’m so grateful that we’re doing stuff together every single year. That’s definitely something I would love to do again before we both retire.” (courtesy sescoops.com)

John Cena Fuels Up Retirement After WWE Wrestlemania 36 Loss

Bayley and Sasha Banks have been the best of friends ever since arriving on the SmackDown since 2019 fall and there’s a creative reason behind it.

The plan must be to get these two on different pages, at one point that would bring out all the frustrations and thus the bad blood from the past may get regenerated. The original plan was to create it for Wrestlemania 36 which was canceled. Now that the show of shows has been gone, the plan may come to fruition, after a long wait.
