Paige Says WWE In-Ring Comeback Is Always A Possibility
Paige is one of the most popular WWE female superstars to step into the ring, without a doubt. She always possessed an x-factor from the get-go that handed her to be Divas Champion on the very first day on the main roster. Even prior to that, she held the accolade of being the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion.
Her career did not even fully last for four years but was able to win millions of hearts. It was sad to see her going away from in-ring competition at an age of just 23 in 2018 and that too in an arena where she made her debut.
The hope is that someday Paige can do the unthinkable and make a valiant comeback. Superstars like Daniel Bryan or Edge who dealt with neck concussions were able to get back to the competition which still keeps the possibility available.
Meanwhile, rumors are running rampant that WWE may have cleared her for competition following an announcement for last week’s SmackDown. She was about to confront the women’s champion Bayley to create some sort of WrestleMania angle that was said to be nixed due to the show’s rescheduling to Performance Center.
Sorry guys travel made it very hard for me to get there for #SmackDownLIVE with everything that’s going on. Completely out of my control. 😔 very sorry.. But at least @itsBayleyWWE is keeping you entertained pic.twitter.com/ymY8BN9IIK

We may never know what that apparent plan was for Paige. But the good news is that there are indeed some chances to see the anti-Diva wrestling in a match. During an interview with Inside the ropes, she noted on this burning issue and came up with a positive update.
However, the much-anticipated comeback may not happen, anytime soon as a minimum timespan is needed to heal off the concussed area,
“I think it is always a possibility one day, you can never say never,” Paige said. “It’s not going to be any time soon. That’s mostly all I can say about it, it’s really hard because I just had neck surgery in August. My neck is just getting healthier quicker the second time around which is crazy, I feel absolutely fantastic. So, we’ll see where it goes.” (courtesy wrestlingINC.com)
WWE should not have a problem with letting Paige wait for this return considering her young age. She still can have a long time career when doctors allow her to wrestle, again and create some more history, again.
Speaking of this, the youngest reigning Divas Champion of all-time also memorized the incredible experience she had in the WWE locker room. This is what she had to offer on making it big from a small town in England,
“It gives me chills thinking about it,” Paige said. “I come from a little city of Norwich where not a lot of people have come out of there and been a success. It felt really wild to have that and then go to WWE where you dream of being but you never thought you would be because you’re not the typical diva back then. I didn’t look like any of those girls.
All those girls were so beautiful, you had your Kelly Kelly’s and they were just so gorgeous and then you had me. This scruffy little pale goth who comes in with piercings, who doesn’t even know how to brush her hair. But apparently people like it, they liked it.
“But yeah, to get that WrestleMania moment was wonderful. It was insane, it’s still surreal when I think back. I always forget the stuff that I had done, and then when I think about it I’m like, ‘Damn I did some things, that’s really cool’.”
