The saga between Wriddhiman Saha and the journalist has taken a new twist as the renowned journalist Boria Majumdar came out with a video explaining his side of the story. He accused Wriddhiman Saha of doctoring and tempering screenshots of the WhatsApp chat between the two.
“I have shared all the details with the committee” – Wriddhiman Saha
Earlier in the day, a three-member committee spoke to the wicketkeeper to probe into his allegations.
“I have told the committee everything I know. I have shared all the details with them. I can’t tell you much right now. BCCI has asked me not to talk about the meeting outside as they will answer all your queries,” Saha spoke to reporters.
But late in the night, Boria Majumdar posted a video on Twitter, explaining the whole scenario. He claimed that the messages were sent in a different context and Saha doctored and tempered the screenshots before posting them on Twitter. He accused Saha of ‘playing a victim card’.
There are always two sides to a story. @Wriddhipops has doctored, tampered screenshots of my WhatsApp chats which have damaged my reputation and credibility. I have requested the @BCCI for a fair hearing. My lawyers are serving @Wriddhipops a defamation notice. Let truth prevail. pic.twitter.com/XBsiFVpskl

He explained that Saha blurred a certain part of the screenshot to twist the story. He claimed that Saha was agreed to give in an interview about the IPL auction in which he bagged a deal of 1.9 crores to play for Gujarat Titans but he posted the screenshot after the Indian squad was announced for the test series which was almost a week later.
He claimed that the messages are of different dates and he tempered the screenshot to twist the context. Notable that Saha along with 3 other senior players was dropped for the 2-match test series against Sri Lanka.
