Brock Lesnar kicked off the decade’s first episode of WWE Raw in style on last night as the show emanated from the Chesapeake Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He dropped a bombshell announcement to hype up the 30-man Royal Rumble match slated for January 26th. As confirmed by his advocate general, Paul Heyman, Lesnar will compete in the Royal Rumble match itself despite being the champion.

Earlier, speculations were running rampant on who could be the potential opponent for Brock Lesnar at 2020 Royal Rumble. But WWE seemed to have failed to find out an opponent for him.

Hence, a storyline was channeled where Heyman stated that there’s not a single person in WWE NXT, RAW or SmackDown that can stand next to his client. So he intended to do something very special for the locker room members.

Brock Lesnar will be in a possible dream match at Royal Rumble where any challenger who wants him can have him. The WWE Champion will be entering the prestigious contest at the number one position and wait for 29 other names to be back onboard. Heyman boasted about how Lesnar will conquer everything standing in his path before leaving the ring.

Later, WWE.com confirmed his appearance on the 2020 edition of the Royal Rumble match alongside some other performers of the contest.

The following Superstars have declared for the Men’s Royal Rumble Match:

Roman Reigns

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar (entered himself at No. 1)

Erick Rowan

AJ Styles

Randy Orton

Rey Mysterio

Ricochet

Drew McIntyre

It is not confirmed till now whether the WWE Championship will be on the line in this match like it was in 2016 Royal Rumble.

The rules of the Royal Rumble match is as follows,

“A tradition dating back to 1988, the high-stakes free-for-all starts with two participants, and Superstars enter the ring at equal intervals. This continues until all 30 Superstars have entered the bout. Elimination occurs when a Superstar is thrown over the top rope, and both of his feet hit the floor. The last Superstar in the ring will be declared the victor.”

Apart from the Rumble match, Becky Lynch vs. Asuka for the Raw women’s title and Daniel Bryan vs. The Fiend for the WWE title is confirmed for 2020 Royal Rumble.
