Sting

Sting has never officially retired from in-ring competition. Rather he was forced to sit out of action after suffering a neck concussion in 2015. He was inducted into the 2016 Hall of Fame with a dream match against The Undertaker still left in his wishlist.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Sting admitted that he still hopes an encounter with The Undertaker could happen. The WCW franchise player is also willing to get in shape for that match.

In turn, rumors broke out stating that WWE officials have been hoping to get him cleared so that he can step inside the ring for one last time again in 2020.

Sting getting cleared at an age of almost 60 will be very difficult. But the hope is still alive as WrestleMania 36 season kicks off in WWE.

CM Punk

Ever since the shocking comeback of CM Punk happened at WWE Backstage talk show, pro-wrestling fans are drooling over the return of the century in the WWE.

As of now, Punk is only under contract with FOX which does not have any connection with the WWE. But that does not mean a future deal can’t be reached between the two parties.

Triple H has used the ‘never say never’ term while talking about CM Punk whereas Stephanie McMahon directly wanted Punk and his wife AJ Lee back in the WWE.

With that being said, rumors are pretty wild that Punk will eventually show up on WWE TV and feature in a match at WrestleMania 36. Perhaps, the Royal Rumble match could be the biggest place for him to make the comeback.

It was the first time that he got physical since he hangs up his boots back in 2011. It fuelled up the rumors that the Rated R Superstar will be back soon for in-ring competition.

According to PWInsider.com, Edge inked a new deal with WWE and also visited a medical facility in Pittsburgh for ‘WWE business.’ It was perhaps to get cleared by WWE Wellness Policy head, Dr. Joseph Maroon.
