As seen on this week’s WWE Raw, Brock Lesnar entered the Royal Rumble match instead of defending his title on the upcoming show. He will enter the 30-men men’s division match to conquer everyone in his path. However, it’s still not clear whether the WWE title will be hanging on the line during this matchup.

Two Unlikely Names Revealed To Be Brock Lesnar’s WWE WrestleMania Opponent

WWE’s creative team changed the plans around Brock Lesnar around Royal Rumble due to a lack of opponents against him. Some of the regular roster members were rumored to compete against him which did not turn out to be the case. As a result, The Beast was forced to compete in the chaotic match instead of a one-on-one bout reserved for him.

Plans can also change for Brock Lesnar around WrestleMania 36 as WWE eyes to establish a brand new opponent for him. Previously Cain Velasquez or Tyson Fury’s name has been surfaced for his opponent.

But WWE is potentially trying to establish Drew McIntyre as his future competitor. The indications were there when the Scottish Superstar hinted a babyface turn on WWE Raw, recently.

Revealed: Brock Lesnar’s Status In The WWE In 2020

As seen on last week’s episode of WWE RAW, Drew McIntyre defeated Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins in a 1 on 2 Handicap match. This week, he pinned No Way Jose in another squash match. On both occasions, he went on a rant about how he never got a world title opportunity which almost confirmed hi babyface turn with the same badass personality being intact.

Following this, wwfoldschool.com carried an update hinting that Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre could become the lineup for WWE Title match at WrestleMania 36,

“WrestleVotes recently reporting that WWE officials haven’t finalized plans for top matches at WrestleMania 36 yet and are discussing various ideas.

So there is a possibility that McIntyre gets his big break this month at Royal Rumble 2020 PPV by winning the Men’s Royal Rumble match, and he goes on to challenge Lesnar for the WWE Title at the Show of Shows.”

Drew McIntyre was also a big favorite to win next year’s Royal Rumble and challenge Brock Lesnar for the title at WrestleMania. But WWE halted his push and used Seth Rollins since he has been a prime babyface superstar on Monday Night Raw, back then.
