WrestleMania season could be enlightened with the return of one of the prolific main eventers in the history of WWE. As reported on several occasions earlier to this, WWE legend Edge is gearing up to make his return to the in-ring competition close to the biggest event of the year that emanates from Tampa, Florida. Despite the denial acts by the veteran on social media, it’s inevitable that he is coming back.

Huge WrestleMania Match Rumored Featuring WWE Hall Of Famer Edge

As noted earlier, WWE is discussing the creative plans around the 11-time world champion that could put him back in a storyline close to WrestleMania 36. There may also be a plan to use him in February’s Saudi Arabia show.

John Cena is said to be the most significant name whom Edge can compete against at WrestleMania 36. However, this is a pure rumor at this point.

In addition, Slice Wrestling has given an update on an alternative name who can take on Edge upon his return. Check out what source had to say as stated below,

“‪Edge will be this year’s WrestleMania nostalgia act and is a ruthless aggression era superstar that fans will love and welcome to see liven up a basically stale WWE product. ‬

‪Opponents for Edge include ‬

‪• John Cena ‬
‪• Seth Rollins ‬

‪The return of Edge is something WWE desperately needs right now and we couldn’t be more ecstatic at his inevitable return.”

We should note this context that both these superstars had their issues with Edge in the past which would allow WWE to set up the storyline, quite organically.

John Cena had one of the best rivals of his career in the form of the Ultimate Opportunist which produced some of the best matches in the past. WWE Universe would be down for this matchup at any time despite the repetitiveness.

As for Seth Rollins, Edge felt the wrath of a heel Architect back in 2014. Rollins threatened to permanently damage the already broken neck of the former world champion to bring back The Authority in charge. At that point, Edge couldn’t do anything due to the no-contact clause of WWE.

But that has been lifted back meaning there’s no bar to get engaged in physical capacity. With that being said, the anticipation begins for the fans to witness one of the all-time greats lacing up his boots.
