As reported in recent times, WWE Hall of Famer Edge has been cleared to make an in-ring return. PWInsider.com was the first source to note the same stating that the veteran might have also signed a WWE contract to make his comeback to competition. But as always, the Master Manipulator is trying his best to outsmart the people.
Update On Samoa Joe’s In-Ring Return And Babyface Character
For the second time, Edge denied that rumors of his return to the WWE. He posted on social media confirming that he is still not cleared by the WWE doctors. The Rated R Superstar took Twitter and made an out of context tweet that read: “Still not and still not. Period.”
Still not and still not. Period.

The Tweet does not seemingly confirm anything regarding the return context. But we should connect the potential future happenings with this. The source indicated that with Royal Rumble approaching, Edge is perhaps locked to appear on the big-four PPV night.
Hall Of Famer Edge Signs New Contract With WWE For In-Ring Return
He does not want to make it public and thus is trying to keep the return as a surprise instance for the audience in January.
Meanwhile, Bryan Alvarez explained on Wrestling Observer Radio that Edge is cleared to at least some extent. He mentioned how Edge was eliminated from the competition due to a neck concussion. But then again, he was allowed to deliver a spear at Summerslam 2019. So there has to be ‘some semblance of clearance’ from WWE.
WWE Positively Thinks Edge Will Return To Action In 2020
“Here’s all I can tell you, okay? Edge retired because his neck was all messed up. They would not clear him to wrestle, okay? Dave covered this in the Observer and then Edge tweeted out something like ‘no I’m not and no I’m not.’ Now, everyone thought this was a denial that he was signed with WWE and he was cleared to wrestle, okay?
So, all I can tell you about this is that they did a show and in a [kickoff show] segment he got in the ring and delivered a spear.”
“Now, let me tell you something there’s no way that a guy who isn’t cleared for in-ring action is going to return and do a spear. If you call Paige retired because of an injury and when they wanted to write her out of storylines there was zero physical contact. Asuka blew mist in her face and she sat down and laid down.”
“They are not letting Edge deliver a spear unless there is at least some semblance of clearance. Now, I don’t know if he’s fully cleared, I don’t know anything about this. All I know is Edge did this and it’s what I was told and there was a denial.”
It looks like Edge is denying all the reports as WWE wants him to do so to have a major impactful return at Royal Rumble. But it’s a fact that if Edge can deliver a spear then he is cleared to some sort. So a major surprise could be in-store around the Hall of Famer in the near future.
