Despite denials, the speculations of an in-ring return for the only Rated R Superstar in the WWE is growing day by day.

Just after the news broke out that he is in the wishlist of returning superstars around the WrestleMania season, it is now reported that a deal might have already been finalized between the two parties.

Previously, the rumors suggested that he will be wrestling in one match at either WrestleMania or the Saudi Arabia show waiting in February.

But the updated report hinted that he will be competing in more than one match that would be a special attraction for the WWE Universe. The source noted that Royal Rumble is the most likely event where he would show up as a surprise entrant, (courtesy ringsidenews.com)

“We’ve heard that Edge signed a new deal with WWE that has a pretty nice upside.

My gut feeling is we’ll see Edge in the Royal Rumble as a surprise (as that seems like the perfect place to make a big splash with a return for Wrestlemania season) and possibly even see him do a few matches on major events.”

Edge has not wrestled in the WWE since 2011 due to a neck concussion that could have been life-threatening even if he had taken one more bad bump. Back then, the word was that he would never be wrestling in his life, again.

But the situation changed in recent past as he appeared at Summerslam 2019 to hit Elias with a Spear. It was the first time that he got physical since retirement and it looks like there’s plenty more to come in his career.
