This week’s WWE Raw witnessed a sudden title match for the WWE women’s tag team championships that featured four teams in it. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross were the duos who finally ended up winning the belts from the IIconics in a match where Mandy Rose-Sonya Deville and The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) were also a part of.

Why Huge Title Change Took Place On WWE Raw Instead Of Summerslam?

Despite a sudden title change on WWE Raw, the match received attention for a different reason that showed big errors from WWE’s production team. While Asuka and Kairi Sane were coming out, the graphics put on our video screen was completely different. They have shown Kairi Sane and Io Shirai instead of the original duo who call themselves as the Kabuki Warriors.

Social media obviously did not receive the error of labeling a superstar as an entirely wrong person in a light way. They did notice the wrong message shown on the tron Tag Team Elimination Fatal-4-Way for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. The graphic for “The Kabuki Warriors” included Twitter handles for Kairi Sane and WWE NXT Superstar Io Shirai, not Asuka. A Twitter user took a screenshot of it and posted pointing out the mistake.

Io Shirai noticed this and responded. But the toughest criticism came from a veteran female superstar who also belongs to the same genre to that of Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Io Shirai. Former WWE Women’s Champion and TNA/Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer Gail Kim replied to the picture with frustration,

“Wow….. so sad when they have the most talented Asian female wrestlers on the planet,” she wrote. “Wake up WWE and stop wasting all of them. Utilize their talent!”

Gail’s comments became viral since she spoke the truth. At one point in her career, she suffered the same wrong utilization that forced her to leave the WWE and try to glorify a different women’s division. So who better to note that WWE should take good care of the to female Asian athletes.

At this point, the strong status of Asuka and Kairi Sane are no more intact after losing against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross on WWE Raw. There’s no report available whether they will receive a second opportunity to compete for the tag titles. As for the third Asian female in the context, Io Shirai will face Candice LeRae at NXT TakeOver: Toronto II this Saturday which takes place at the Scotiabank Arena, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
