Rohit Sharma, India’s deputy in the limited-overs format, joined hands with Jasprit Bumrah to troll Yuzvendra Chahal recently. Amid no cricketing action due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, cricketers are engaging in live interacting sessions with fans over social media platforms.

Pace spearhead Bumrah plays under the captaincy of Rohit in the IPL. The Mumbai Indians duo poked fun at Chahal’s credentials with the willow. In a live session on Instagram, the Indian cricketers were seen having a fun banter.
Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah got the banter going against Yuzvendra Chahal
Bumrah started off by saying, “If we face off against RCB in a match, I want to bowl against Chahal. I’ve told him I need to bat above him in the batting order. The day he hits a six, I will go below him.”

Skipper Rohit echoed Bumrah’s remarks and had a go at Chahal. He reminded everyone that Chahal is yet to hit a six in international cricket. Whereas, on the other hand, Bumrah hit a maximum off Pat Cummins during the ODI series in India last year.
“Even I feel you (Bumrah) should save an over and bowl against him (Chahal). Ever since he hit a straight drive in England, he has become a bit overconfident. We should tell him that he hasn’t hit a six in international cricket yet while you have hit a six against the No. 1 bowler in the world (Australia’s Pat Cummins).” Rohit said while pulling Chahal’s leg.

The banter didn’t end there. Chahal went on to ask the Mumbai-based franchise whether they need him to make a comeback in the side. Rohit didn’t take much time and ruled out the possibility. Rohit, the most successful captain in the tournament, advised Chahal to stick to his current team- Royal Challengers Bangalore.
“If the Mumbai Indians were losing, we would miss him. But we are winning now, why will we miss him? Chahal should sit in Bangalore, that’s the ideal situation for him.” said Rohit while taking a dig at RCB’s poor run in the IPL.
