Ashish Nehra Announces His Retirement

Ashish Nehra has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Thursday. Nehra will end his 18 year long career against New Zealand on 1st November at his home ground Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi. He is also set to retire from Domestic cricket and Indian Premier League. Nehra had an illustrious long career and also has a World Cup to his name as he was a part of the 2011 World Cup squad.

India ‘A’ Vs New Zealand ‘A’, Unofficial Third ODI, Vishakhapatnam

India ‘A’ defeated New Zealand ‘A’ by six wickets courtesy a five-for by Karn Sharma. Sharma finished with the figures of five for 22 runs in eight overs. Henry Nicolls was the top scorer for New Zealand as the team bundled out for 143 in 37.1 overs. The Indian team lost three early wickets but reached the target in 24.4 overs. India ‘A’ leads the five match series 1-0.

Ben Stokes Loses Contract with New Balance

Kit manufacturer New Balance has ended their contract with Ben Stokes who is currently under investigation for a bar brawl after England’s match against West Indies in Bristol. The released a statement which said that his behavior does not match our brands culture and values. Ben Stokes earned 200,000 per year from the contract.

Football: India Qualifies For 2019 AFC Asian Cup

India Defeated Macau convincingly in Bangalore by 4-1 to qualify for the AFC Cup in 2019 to be played in UAE. This was the first time India qualifies for the AFC Cup since 2011 and for the fourth time overall.

FIFA Under-17 World Cup 2017, France Vs Japan

France defeated Japan 2-1 in a Group E match. Japan opened the scoring in the 13th minute and went into the halftime break with a 1-0 lead. They scored another goal in the 71st minute only to concede two minutes later. However, Japan couldn’t add another goal as they lost the match 2-1.

FIFA Under-17 World Cup 2017, England Vs Mexico

Mexican Diego Lainez’s brace came late in the match and couldn’t save the match for his team, as England maintained their winning streak in the tournament and won the match 3-2. England took a 3-0 lead in the match but Mexico made an incredible comeback in the match scoring two back to back goals and took England to the limits.

FIFA Under-17 World Cup 2017, Iraq Vs Chile

Iraq defeated Chile 3-0 in their second match as Dawood Mohammed opened the scoring in the 6th minute and added another goal to his tally in the 68th minute. Chile’s Diego Valencia scored one in his own net to extend Iraq’s lead to three goals.

FIFA Under-17 World Cup 2017, Honduras Vs New Caledonia

Honduras thrashed New Caledonia 5-0 in a Group E match. Honduras lost their previous match against Japan 1-6.

Hockey: India Begin the Tournament with a Win

India began their Asia Cup with a win against Japan with a 5-1 win in their first international match under their new coach Sjoerd Marijne. India are placed in Pool A with Pakistan, Japan and hosts Bangladesh and are one of the favourites to win the tournament.
