Apparently, WWE had plans to utilize him in a big way on the show but those had to be canceled amid the coronavirus pandemic. Hulk Hogan was set to become a 2-time Hall Of Famer, by getting inducted into the Hall Of Fame as part of the nWo faction alongside Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. The ceremony was postponed and supposedly happening at SummerSlam weekend that’s not confirmed, yet.

WWE Working With Florida Authority To Bring Back Audience In Future Shows reported that Hulk Hogan was set to win this year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. WWE reportedly reached a deal with the legendary pro-wrestler for this match which later fell through. Even if the deal would’ve been signed between the two parties, it could have been of no use.

WWE didn’t host the match, this year due to the social distancing guidelines. The applied rules stated that a match could not containing almost 30 wrestlers in the ring at the same time, couldn’t be set up. Thus, Hulk Hogan wouldn’t get an opportunity to compete, anyway.

“The idea was he wouldn’t take any bumps. We would work it so he would only have to eliminate one or two guys at the end and then he would get his big celebration at the end with his music. It would have been perfect because he lives in the Tampa area,” reported the source.

Vince McMahon didn’t shoot down the idea of having Hulk Hogan in the battle royal that he inaugurated back in 2014. WWE and Hogan negotiated the options until late February. However, they couldn’t reach an agreement due to both sides having a difference of opinion on the financial terms.

Hulk Hogan stated in the past that he wants to compete in his final match in the WWE. He is pretty determined to have this last match and keeps himself in good shape as WWE could come up with ideas, every now and then. His final match was in TNA with which he’s not satisfied with and hence he wants to remove the sour taste.
