WWE Working With Florida Authority To Bring Back Audience In Future Shows
WrestlingNews.co reported that Hulk Hogan was set to win this year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. WWE reportedly reached a deal with the legendary pro-wrestler for this match which later fell through. Even if the deal would’ve been signed between the two parties, it could have been of no use.
WWE didn’t host the match, this year due to the social distancing guidelines. The applied rules stated that a match could not containing almost 30 wrestlers in the ring at the same time, couldn’t be set up. Thus, Hulk Hogan wouldn’t get an opportunity to compete, anyway.
“The idea was he wouldn’t take any bumps. We would work it so he would only have to eliminate one or two guys at the end and then he would get his big celebration at the end with his music. It would have been perfect because he lives in the Tampa area,” reported the source.
