IND VS AUS: Indian team is eyeing a 3-0 lead against Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2023. Men in Blue needs to win at least three matches in four-match series to qualify for the World Test Championship (WTC) Final. Indian team struggled against the Australian spinner in the third test match, Men in Blue were bowled out for 109 runs in the first inning, while for 163 mark in the second.

The Baggy Greens spinner picked 19 wickets in both innings at Holkar Cricket Stadium, and only Mitchell Starc was able to take one wicket in the match. Danish Kaneria felt that if Rishabh Pant was there he would have smashed the Aussies spinner in the third test match of BGT.

Former Paksitani spinner slammed Indian batting on day one of Indore test match-

If you would ask Rishabh Pant how to bat against these spinners, he would tell you to use your feet, get to the pitch of the ball, and smash the ball a long way,”

Had he been there, he wouldn’t have spared Lyon and Kuhnemann. He would have forced them to change their lengths by attacking them. Indian batters have been disappointing,” said Kaneria.

Indian wicketkeeper-batter got involved in a car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway in the early morning of December 30th 2022. He suffered major injuries from the car accident. Pant will also miss the upcoming IPL 2023 season as he is still recovering from the misfortune.

India could have batted properly and scored 250-300 in their first innings. But their unnecessary stroke play has now put Australia in the ascendancy and I feel there’s an 80 percent chance that Australia will win this game now,” said the Ex-Pakistani leg spinner.

Nathan Lyon and Matthew Kuhnemann ran through the Indian batting order and Men in Blue were bowled out in the 34th over on day 1. The left-arm spinner picked up his first five-wicket haul as the Indian batting order crumbled on the rank turner pitch.

Australia need 76 runs to win the third test match at Indore, while India was bowled out for 163 runs in the second innings. On Day 1, India managed to score 109 runs, while the Australian was bowled out at 197 before lunch on the second day. The visitors need to avoid a clean sweep in the BGT to qualify for the WTC final in England.
