Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma is surely a character, when it comes to public interaction. Sharma is anyway famous for his one-liners in the press conference. He has admitted many times that he has a problem speaking Hindi as he converses more comfortably in ‘Marathi’. But in a video shared by a fan at the Airport, the Indian skipper can be seen giving a rose to a fan and slowly whispering ‘Will you Marry me’ in a funny way.

The 35-year-old was not playing the 1st ODI in Mumbai due to his personal commitments. He joined up with the rest of the players directly in Visakhapatnam ahead of the second ODI. As Rohit arrived at the airport for the second ODI of the series, a fan was capturing a selfie video of the Indian captain but little did the fan know that the Indian skipper will converse with him. Rohit appeared to be in a fun mood as he gifted a rose to the fan and says, “ye lo aapke liye (This is for you).”

Earlier, in the second ODI at Vishakhapatnam, Team India, on Sunday (March 17), endured a tough day at the office as Australia bowled them out for a paltry 117 runs. Mitchell Starc once again fired with the new ball and blew away India’s top order. He first sent back in-form Shubman Gill for a duck before dismissing Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav on consecutive deliveries to leave India reeling at 32 for 3.

Former captain Virat Kohli top-scored for India, scoring 31 and was the only player to cross the 30-run mark. Axar Patel (29*) was the only other player to cross the 20-run mark during the disastrous batting display. For Australia, Starc starred with the ball, taking 5 for 53 while Sean Abbott and Nathan Ellis picked up 3 and 2 wickets respectively.

The poor batting display is India’s worst against Australia at home in ODIs. 117 runs are now the lowest total scored by India in an ODI at home against Australia. The previous lowest total was 148 which they had scored against the Aussies in Vadodara way back in 2007. While in the chase, the Aussies won the game by 10 wickets in the 11th over itself, this is India’s biggest loss in 50 overs format in terms of the number of balls left, Mitchell Marsh scored unbeaten 66 runs while Travis Head remained not out on 51 scores.

The Men in Blue did not have the best of outings with the bat in the first ODI either but they ended up winning that game. Chasing 188 in Mumbai, India was reeling at 16 for 3 and then 83 for 5 before an unbeaten stand of 108 runs between KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja bailed them out.

Now, the three ODI series have been levelled up on 1-1 each, for the decider, Rohit Sharma-led side will take on the visitors on March 22 at Chennai.
