Indian team is eyeing a 3-0 lead against Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2023. Men in Blue needs to win at least three matches in four-match series to qualify for the World Test Championship (WTC) Final. The Third test of BGT is at Holkar Cricket Stadium, the pitch of the stadium has been the talk among fans for its uneven bounce.
On day 1 of the third test match, 14 wickets fell down. Former Indian Skipper Sourav Ganguly was hesitant to speak on the pitch but said one line that probably raged the debate more.

The former BCCI chief felt that a lot has left in this test match after first-day dismissals –
“See what happens at the end of the Test,” said Ganguly.
14 wickets were taken on the first day of test cricket, the home side was bowled out for 109 runs in 33.2 overs, while the Aussies managed 156 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
Earlier, the third test match of BGT was scheduled to happen in Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh). But later it was shifted to Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore, as BCCI stated that the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium’s ground is unfit for the match on 1st March 2023.
“There’s plenty left in the game. They will come back. Today is only Day 1. Lots of cricket left,” said former Indian cricketer.
In the first session of day 1, Matthew Kuhnemann had India skipper Rohit Sharma stumped in the sixth over of the game with the ball turning a proverbial mile. Rohit danced down the wicket to hit the left-arm spinner delivery but was beaten and later stumped. The degree of turn was a massive 8.3.
Earlier, India opted to bat first against Steve Smith-led side at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.
The home side made two changes in the third game of BGT, Shubman Gill and Umesh Yadav replace KL Rahul and Mohammed Shami, while in the Baggy Greens playing XI, Mitchell Starc and Cameoon Green came in the place of Pat Cummins and Matt Renshaw.
