Former Indian leg spinner, Amit Mishra is optimistic about continuing his career in future, as his side in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) won their last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
In IPL 2023, LSG has won two games out of three matches it played this season, and both victories have come on their home turf. Mishra in the post-match conversation with his Lucknow side teammate, Krunal Pandya, stated that until he is picking wickets he will continue to play.

Amit Mishra and Krunal Pandya spoke about their game plan after LSG’s win-
“I’ve been practising here for the last 10-15 days, I felt confident and I think wickets are a byproduct of that,The four overs I bowled I thought pace would do the trick. Whenever a new batter was on crease I was varying my pace.
“After bowling four overs I knew with what approach I’m gonna bat. I took clue from the first innings and I planned on playing with intent that is what helped me bat that away and I wish to carry that forward,” said LSG’s all-rounder.
While in the last game for KL Rahul-led side, Krunal was awarded Player of the Match for his 3/18 and 34 runs, while bowling he dismissed three out of the top four batters in the opposition squad, and when he came to bat at the 4th position for LSG, he smashed four boundaries and one six in his match-winning knock.

“I try to give my best and I think as long as I’m gonna have that fire within me to take wickets I’m gonna continue playing cricket.
“I spoke to KL and he told me Mishi bhai do whatever you feel is right and I knew I wanted to bring down the run rate rather than getting a wicket,” said Mishra on his career.
Super Giants spinners combined to pick up 6 wickets against SRH, With Krunal Pandya being the star performer for the team well supported by young Ravi Bishnoi and experienced Amit Mishra to restrict the 2016-champions to 121 runs at the end of 20 overs, while in the chase, LSG side reached the target of 122 runs with four overs to spare and five wickets in hand, the home side posted 127/5.
Now in IPL 2023, Lucknow Super Giants will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in their fourth league game of the season on April 10 at Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy Stadium.
