Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has named a replacement for injured Mayank Yadav for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The injured pacer has been replaced with another pacer, Arpit Guleria

Arpit made his debut in domestic cricket for Himachal Pradesh and currently plays for Services. He has played 15 First-Class matches and 12 List-A games and has scalped 44 and 11 wickets respectively from the same. He joins LSG for INR 20 Lakh. While LSG is set to face Punjab Kings (PBKS) for their 5th match of the season, currently they have won three and lost one this season.

LSG announces Mayank Yadav’s replacement for the IPL 2023-

LSG bought the Delhi youngster, Mayank for INR 20 Lakh ahead of the last IPL season. While the right-arm pacer has just played 7 List A games and 16 wickets to his name, while Arpit Guleria was not picked in the IPL 2023 mini-auction, he was in the draft, now Himachal Pradesh-born pacer is set to feature for KL Rahul-led side.

LSG side won their last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a voltage drama, In the 15 matches of IPL 2023, the Faf du Plessis-led side batted first at their home turf and posted a massive target of 213 runs, while in chase LSG chased down the target in the last ball, with one wicket in hand, as Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan completed one run after wicket-keeper, Dinesh Karthik was not able to grab the ball properly.

The two new teams which joined IPL in the last edition in 2022, are Gujarat Titans (GT) and LSG. While in the last edition in 2022, GT won the title by beating Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the finals, whereas the Lucknow-based side reached the playoffs in their inaugural edition.

While PBKS lost by six wickets against Gujarat Titans In their last clash in IPL 2023, the GT all-rounder, Rahul Tewatia held his nerve in the last over to chase down the total against Punjab Kings. With 4 runs to win in the final two balls, he played a paddled sweep to win the third match for the Titans side.

Whereas it is a double header clash on April 15 in IPL 2023, RCB will take on Delhi Capitals (DC) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, while for the evening game LSG vs PBKS at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
