CM Punk returned on WWE TV in the fall of 2019 through the Backstage shown on FOX where he can speak his heart out on the related topics from WWE.

He enjoys to grab a mic and cut promos, independently while voicing opinions on current WWE scenario. Despite much speculations, he has not stepped into a ring for competition. In fact, he said today’s wrestling is not for a man like him.

As we go down through the Road to WrestleMania, it is certain that CM Punk won’t be seen working in this year’s show of shows. Rumors were running rampant at the beginning of this decade suggesting that WWE would be signing CM Punk in a contract so to make him compete at WrestleMania 36.

Following Royal Rumble, that wild guessing went outside the window as there’s been no update on any potential signing between CM Punk and WWE.

In addition to that, we received some negative feedback from one of the reliable sources in the pro-wrestling industry. Upon getting asked whether CM Punk and WWE might reach an agreement soon, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com doubted that he didn’t have the best report on this context. The former champion is thus not in the near future scenario around Wrestlemania 36 in the WWE,

“I haven’t heard ANYTHING about those two sides having any sort of communication, so we may be waiting awhile.”

As noted earlier, CM Punk has strictly signed a contract with the FOX brand which does not have anything to do with the WWE. He is neither obliged to go through any such communication with WWE nor does he has to report to the company for his verbal comments on the outgoing.

Unless he signs on the dotted lines, WWE can’t use him in any of their programmings. So the much-speculated return is not going to happen, at least for now.

Bur still the fans love to imagine CM Punk in the dream scenarios as we can really never say never when it comes to the pro-wrestling scene. At present, the betting odds are suggesting that CM Punk will be back to compete at WrestleMania against Daniel Bryan.

In fact, this match is the overall sixth favorite to become the main event of WrestleMania 36. Unfortunately, that won’t be happening as WWE already has a stacked card comprising of multiple legendary names.
