WWE’s Chief Brand Officer, Stephanie McMahon, recently spoke on an international conference call to touch down the topic. She noted whether CM Punk and his wife and former WWE star, AJ Lee, could possibly be returning to the ring to compete under their banner.
As told by Stephanie McMahon to the Metro.co.uk, she thinks new angles with either CM Punk or Lee’s characters could enhance the current WWE product. So she would love to have both of them back on board.

“I personally enjoy watching both of them perform,” she said. “I think Punk’s been pretty vocal that he’s not interested in an in-ring return right now, but for sure, that would be interesting. And I would love to see AJ Lee back in the women’s division.” (courtesy wrestlingINC.com)
Stephanie McMahon is personally interested to bring back AJ Lee who could be a great attraction for the women’s division. The impact that Lee’s character made during her heyday was something pretty incredible.

Between 2009 and 2015, she used to be one of the prime superstars of the company. She won WWE’s annual “Slammy Awards” on two occasions. Lee is also a 3-time Divas Champion that included the longest reign with the belt back at that time,
“I think AJ Lee was an incredibly compelling character,” Stephanie McMahon added. “Some of our most interesting and intriguing storylines were with AJ, and I think she deserves as much credit as every other woman on our roster.”
However, like the boss of the company, the Billion Dollar Princess stated that it is not mandatory to bring back CM Punk or AJ Lee into the WWE.

The amount of talents present on the roster is pretty incredible who should not be overlooked. They are more than capable of carrying the company on their shoulders for years to follow,
“Nobody should be overlooked, and that’s not the goal to overlook anybody’s name. Every single person is a huge reason for why this happened. You know, I’m a big fan of AJ Lee’s, I really am,” Steph said.
“I think our women’s roster has never been deeper, especially when you factor in NXT in addition to RAW and SmackDown, and I think there’s always an opportunity to focus on the depth of that roster and to give everyone the chance that they deserve.”
No thank you, I am very retired. I will however tag along for coffee and snacks next time I’m in town. Always down for snacks.
