India has reached the World Test Championship (WTC) Final, after getting a victory in the recently concluded Test series against Australia by 2-1, and Sri Lanka was not able to clean sweep the two-test match series against New Zealand.
Former Pakistani pacer, Mohammed Amir thinks that a packed cricket schedule is a reason for Bumrah’s constant injury. Indian speedster last placed for team India in September last year.

Amir believes back and knee injuries are very tough to recover from-
“What I feel is that Bumrah consistently played cricket for a long time, across formats, and then played in IPL as well. India too play cricket all around the year,” said former Pakistani pacer.
Bumrah has been out of action for nearly eight months. He last played a competitive game in September last year during the home T20I series against South Africa before a back injury ruled him out. The right-arm pacer was on course to make his much-anticipated return last month in BGT but couldn’t.
“He is human. At the end of the day, the body gets tired and it demands rest. I always say, back and knee injuries for a bowler are two which I wouldn’t even wish for my enemy. It tends to end careers of cricketers. I hope he is strong and is recovering well,” he further added.
According to reports, Jasprit Bumrah’s back injury is more serious than it initially appeared. Consequently, he is more than likely to completely miss the entire season. According to India Today, he is set to undergo surgery to treat his back injury and would need more time to completely recover. The 29-year-old is likely to miss the upcoming IPL edition on 31st March 2023.

“The bowler who has most impressed me is Mohammed Siraj. If you look at the recent past, he is the most improved bowler in any format. With him you need to groom 1-2 young bowlers ready because in about a year or two players like Shami will also be sticking to a single format,” answered Amir on his favourite Indian bowler.
When the 30-year-old retired from test cricket on July 26, 2019, he stated the reason that he wanted to focus on limited overs. But then he retired from all formats on December 17, 2020, citing mental torture from Pakistan management.
Bumrah’s availability is very crucial for Rohit Sharma-led side in the WTC Final in England on June 7, as he has been the most lethal pacer for Men in Blue, especially overseas.
