WWE News: Jeff Hardy Reveals He’s Cleared To Be Back In Action 1

Jeff Hardy was the special guest on this week’s episode of WWE Backstage on FOX where he has given pretty big news on his career. While speaking to the host Renee Young, the younger Hardy noted that he is ‘officially cleared’ for in-ring action. It means that it should be only a matter of time that he comes back on WWE TV.

There’s no update on whether WWE intends to use Jeff Hardy at the biggest event of the year WrestleMania on April 5th. But the officials might be taking slow steps with him after he went through a lot of troubles over the past few months. The former tag team champion also noted on the matter issuing the following quotes to Renee,

“On the night of October the 3rd, I got into some trouble, the morning of October the 4th I arranged for me to go to inpatient rehab for the first time in my life,” Jeff Hardy said. “It was one of the best things I could have ever done for myself. And I’ve done something every day to better myself.”

Originally, Jeff Hardy is not supposed to be a WWE superstar anymore as his contract was set to expire on March 1.

But WWE is likely adding time to the contract due to his injury which wasted almost a year of his career. As noted in recent times, Matt Hardy let his contract expire and has become a free agent from March 1 onwards.

In recent times, Jeff Hardy was spotted backstage at a couple of SmackDown shows over these past weeks. He also visited the WWE Performance Center to check up himself and get himself cleared for an in-ring return by WWE doctors.

He has been out of action with a leg injury following WrestleMania 35 in April 2019. At that point, he and Matt Hardy were SmackDown tag team champions.

As of now, Jeff Hardy is scheduled to be back in court on Monday, April 6, the night after WrestleMania 36. He has charges upon himself related to his DWI arrest from October 3, 2019, in Moore County, North Carolina.

Before that, Jeff was also arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on July 13, 2019, for public intoxication. WWE wants him to be completely clean before appearing on TV.
